Mrs. Ruby Tribble Laird

Mrs. Ruby Tribble Laird, age 93, of Marietta, Georgia, peacefully passed away in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013.

She was born to Artie Fedric Tribble and Josie Ione Lafayette Brown Tribble on June 20, 1920, in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. She was married to Aubrey Hulon Laird of Lincoln County, Mississippi, on May 24, 1942. Mrs. Laird was a homemaker and an excellent seamstress and quilter.

Mrs. Laird is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and David Lipscomb of Houston, Texas, Gloria and Duke Garren of Newnan, Georgia, Elizabeth and Dan Tindle of Roswell, Georgia, Beverly and David Mosby of Roswell, Georgia; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Eleanor Tribble of Wisconsin, Joanne Tribble of South Carolina, and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Laird was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers Jessie Lee, Joe Fedric, Chester Ray, Ellis Porter, Robert Eugene and Richard Glenn.

She will be laid to rest beside her family at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Oxberry, Mississippi. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.mckoon.com.
