Mr. Philip F. Gardner

Philip F. Gardner, 50, of Sharpsburg, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 after a courageous battle with small cell lung cancer. 

He is survived by his wife, Amy Gardner; children, Morgan, David and Joshua; mother, Theda Gardner of Fayetteville; father Charles (Inez) Gardner of Newnan; brothers, Charles Gardner of Fayetteville, Adam (Amy) Gardner of Senoia and Jonathan (Dena) Gardner of Savannah; several nieces and nephews; and parents-in-law, David and Bonnie Hammond of Geneseo, N.Y.

A funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. Mr. Gardner will lie in state from 10-11 a.m. at Peachtree City United Methodist Church. The burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City.
