Mrs. Kathleen Hunter
Mrs. Kathleen Hunter remarked that she had the best life anyone could have.
She measured success in the fact that she always had a house full of love. On a warm sunny evening, she stepped out of that perfect earthly life she had cherished and into her eternal life for which she had prepared for so many years.
Kathleen Hunter was born in Fayette County, Georgia, on Oct. 4, 1925, one of 12 children born to the late Oliver and Lillie Kerlin Brown. In 1945, she married Jack Hunter. Their wonderfully fulfilling marriage would last for the next 62 years, until his death in 2006.
Her life was built on a bedrock of faith — faith in her God, her family, and her cherished friends. In her eyes, all people have great value and she would see herself as the one who could encourage others.
Kathleen is survived by her children, Jacky and Janis Hunter of Anderson, SC, Norman and Renee' Hunter of Chickamauga, GA, Harry and Cheryl Sewell of Senoia, GA, Donny and Carolyn Hunter of Ellijay, GA. Her grandchildren are Traci Hunter, Jonathan and Kate Hunter, Lance Hunter, Ben and Robin Sewell, Jonathan and Betsy Salzmann, Nathan and Emily Hunter and Joseph Hunter. Her great grandsons are Sylas Hunter and Phife Hunter. Also surviving are her brothers, Bill (Sandra) Brown, Howard (JoAnn) Brown; and a sister, Eleanor (Fred) Cochran.
