Miss Madeline McTier
Miss Madeline McTier, 17, of Newnan, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born July 16, 1996, in Lawrenceville to Michael & Jennifer Smith McTier.
Madeline was outgoing and active in many organizations, including Crossroads Church. She was a junior at East Coweta High School where she was a varsity cheerleader. She was also a competitive cheerleader with ACE of Peachtree City, GA.
The memorial service is Sunday, Sept. 15 at 3 p.m. at Crossroads Church, 3620 Hwy. 16 East, Sharpsburg, GA 30277 with Pastor Ken Adams officiating. The visitation is Saturday afternoon between 3:30-6 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home & Crematory, 38 Jackson St., Newnan. Rather than flowers, the family requests contributions to the Madeline Fund at any Bank of Georgia Branch or by mail at 10 Baynard Park, Newnan, GA 30265.
The Madeline Fund will make contributions to organizations and charities to honor the passions in her life. The family requests those attending the memorial service to wear pink clothing.
