Mrs. Wandeane 'Dee' 'Granny' Hemrick
Mrs. Wandeane “Dee” “Granny” Hemrick, 83, born July 30, 1930, passed away at her home in Hampton, Ga., surrounded by her loving family, at 10:02 p.m. Sept. 2, 2013, after her battle with cancer.
Dee was cared for by her close loving family by her side along with Audrey Kelly from BrightMoor Hospice during her last several weeks of battle with bladder cancer; having the nurturing love and devotion provided to her day in and day out is what allowed Dee to pass so gently to her savior the Lord Jesus Christ.
Dee left her life just as she lived it, by the grace of God. Dee is survived by her daughter, Mary E. Wyckoff; her sons, James R. Hemrick and Joe Hemrick; her sister, Tommie Weaver; her granddaughters, Tracey Smallwood, Lasinda Lingafelter-Crane; grandson Shawn Hemrick; and her great-grandchildren, Branden, Matt, Candice, Kayce, Connor, Niko, Joshua, Christian, Kaitlyn, Kendra and baby Talon.
Dee thought her greatest legacy were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she filled her home with pictures of them on every wall to showcase to all who walked in, her most meaningful accomplishments in life.
Family and friends are welcome to join the celebration of Dee’s life on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m. at Berea Christian Church, 37 Woolsey Rd. in Hampton, with Minister David Fulton. Memorial contributions may be made in Dee’s name to the Berea Christian Church.
