Joyce Hendrix Lovvorn

Joyce Hendrix Lovvorn, age 67, died Saturday at her residence.

She was born January 28, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Charlie Bee and Myrtie Velma Dingler Hendrix. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Donald and Clinton Hendrix.

Her husband, Johnny G. Lovvorn, died in 2009.

Mrs. Lovvorn was an accountant for The RESA Program associated with the school system. She was a member of Sargent Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons Johnny S. Lovvorn and Doug Lovvorn.

She cherished her grandchildren Spencer, Lauren, Jennifer, Ryan, Elijah, Joseph and Eva. Her great granddaughter is Cheyenne Smith.

Also surviving are her siblings, Edward Hendrix, G.D. Hendrix, Anne Davis and Melvin Hendrix.

Visitation with the family will be at McKoon Funeral Home on Monday evening between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the McKoon Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rick Duncan officiating.
