David was a quiet and thoughtful person. He was proud to have served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He served for many years as a deacon at New Hope Baptist Church. He loved everything about flying and airplanes and attained his private pilot's license and served as a station director for Provincetown-Boston Airlines. In his retirement years he enjoyed tinkering and was a frequent face at yard sales.
David was a welcome guest at anyone's house, and those who knew him best knew to keep his favorite coffee cup close by.
