Mr. Charles Ronald Vickers

Mr. Charles Ronald Vickers, age 67 of Newnan, GA, died at his residence on July 6, 2013.

He was born in Mobile, AL, on July 28, 1945, to the late George Collins Vickers and Marcelle Jackson Vickers. He worked for Flowers Industries in the accounting department and Smith Bakeries in accounting in Mobile. He was a member of ALF-CIO Teamsters, the National Guard and was in the Merchant Marine. He later worked for Penske Truck Leasing as a diesel technician for 15 years.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Trawick Vickers; sons, Sonny Meeks, Darrell Meeks and his wife Mindy, Jack Vickers, and Chris Vickers; daughter, Brenda Atkinson; sister, Bobbie Jenkins; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.higginshillcrestchapel.com . Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, at the funeral home with Rev. Aubrey Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park.
