Mrs. Betty Ferguson Washburn

Mrs. Betty Ferguson Washburn, age 80, of Columbus, GA, died at St. Francis Hospital on March 30, 2013.

She was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Sept. 8, 1932, to the late Reno Ferguson and Grace Edna Wood Ferguson. She was an administrative assistance for the Federal Government.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Rena Ann White. Surviving are her sons, James A. Washburn (Elaine) of Newark, Ohio, and William G. Washburn (Marie) of Alexander City, Alabama; daughter, Grace K. Bland of Columbus, GA; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 4 at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Whitesburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at noon on Thursday.
