Mr. Horace Clinton Moore
Mr. Horace Clinton Moore, age 83, passed away peacefully after a 10-year struggle with Alzheimer’s Friday, March 29, 2013.
Mr. Moore was born in Rome, GA, to the late Henry and Bamma Moore. He attended McHenry High School in Rome, GA, West Georgia College and Georgia State University. Clint was a Korean War veteran serving in the Army. He was Southeastern sales manager for Delaware and Hudson railroad for 40 years.
Clint was a dedicated Christian, deacon, father, husband and "Papa."
The family of Mr. Moore would like to extend a special thanks to the caring staff of Embracing Hospice.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Moore, and is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sara Barton Moore; daughter, Joy Callahan, her husband, Whit and their children, Darren, Clare, Natalie and Marion; son, Bart Moore, his wife, Glenda and their daughter, Kara; great-grandchildren, Isabella, McKinlay, and Holden; brothers, Varnell Moore of Greensboro, NC, Emory Moore of Seneca, SC; special daughters, Cynthia Watts, Debbie Norwood, Kathy Clanton; many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Moore’s body was donated to Emory University School of Medicine.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 5, at 11:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Cliftondale, 4005 Stonewall tell Rd., College Park, GA 30349 with Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating. Those wishing may sign the online guestbook at www.parrottfuneralhome.com .
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:30 until the service begins in the sanctuary of the church.
