Mrs. Norma L. Barnett, 76, of Newnan, GA, passed away March 5, 2013, at her residence. On Oct. 30, 1937, she was born in Ghent, Belgium, to the late Roger & Georgette DeWash Van Leirsberger.
She was a retired real estate broker in California. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Powell, and is survived by her husband, Walker E. Barnett, also of Newnan; son, Ray Barnett and his wife Becky, of Santa Maria, CA; grandchildren, Clifford Straite, of Lawrenceville, Haylie Barnett Cribbs, of Santa Maria, CA, Mallory Barnett, of Santa Maria, CA; son-in-law, Craig Powell, of Sandy Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 8 at St. George Catholic Church with Father Henry Atem officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Big Sur, CA.
