Mrs. Lillian Beatrice Evans
Mrs. Lillian Beatrice Evans, age 87, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at her home in Moreland, Georgia. She was born on Sep. 5, 1925, in Newnan, Georgia, to the late Charlie and Ella McArthur Hunter.
Mrs. Evans is preceded in death by her husband, James “Bill” Evans; son, James William “Jimmy” Evans Jr.; grandson, Ritchie Palmer; brother, R.E. Hunter; and her sister, Barnelle Vick. She is survived by daughters, Jennie Reeves (Chuck Cobb), Martha and husband Johnny Morgan and her son Mark Evans. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Renea and husband Dexter Steverson, Tara and husband Joshua Arp, Jody Massengale and his wife Jennifer, Bridget and her husband Wayne Lindsey and Joshua Massengale. Mrs. Evans is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family received friends Sunday, March 3 from 4 until 6 p.m. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 4 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Rev. Winston Skinner officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.
