Mrs. Martha Plant Smith
Mrs. Martha Plant Smith, 94, formerly of Grantville, GA, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Newnan Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Smith was born April 26, 1918, in Coweta County, daughter of the late Dave and Ruby Rebecca Cook Plant. She was a lifelong resident of Grantville and retired from William L. Bonnell Co. after many years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Grantville and was wife of the late Harry C. Smith.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Kay Smith of Newnan; sister, Jewell Pye of Newnan; grandchildren, Charlsie Bass and her husband David of John’s Creek, and Will Smith of Newnan.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 2 in the chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with interment in the Grantville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Grantville.
