Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Sutton Neely, 92, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at home in Sharpsburg. She was born Oct. 19, 1920, in Eatonton, GA, to the late John R. Sutton & Henrietta Caswell Sutton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. “Pete” Neely.
Mrs. Neely was a longtime member of Sharpsburg Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and, most of all, spending time with her family.
The funeral is Thursday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Dr. Wallace McAbee officiating. Burial will follow at Sharpsburg Baptist Church Cemetery. The visitation is Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Sharpsburg Baptist Church, P.O.
