Mr. Emory Dan McElwaney, age 76, of Newnan, GA, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at his home. He was born in 1936 in Coweta County to the late Raymond J. and Mytrice Mae (Slaton) McElwaney.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy J. McElwaney of Newnan; children, Tony and wife Dale McElwaney and Lisa and husband Rich Pike; and sisters, Loret and husband Buddy Hubbard, and Sudene and husband Johnny Galloway; grandchildren, Leslie and Lyndsey Pike, Megan and John McBride and Lucy and Cody Hall; great-grandchild, Emma Grace McElwaney.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday, Feb. 23 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight L. Moody and Rich Pike officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
