Mr. Paul Gene Brown, age 84, of Newnan, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Mr. Brown was born in Coweta County on May 28, 1928 to the late Cleveland Brown and Mary Alexander Brown.
Paul was retired from Bibb Manufacturing Company and was a member of East Newnan Baptist Church. He especially enjoyed working outside in the garden and was an avid baseball fan.
Surviving are his son, Bobby Brown (Dana) of Luthersville; his beloved companion, Margaret Allison of Newnan; sister, Ann Spearman of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Brandey, Elizabeth and Rachel; two great grandchildren, Drew and Abby Grace. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 11, 2013 at 2 p.m. at East Newnan Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Powers, the Rev. Jesse Hughes, and the Rev. Pat Latta officiating. Interment will follow at Ramah First Baptist Church Cemetery in Palmetto.
Mr. Brown will be placed in state at the church at 1 p.m.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Sunday, Feb. 10, from 6-8 p.m.
