Mrs. Marie Hendrix passed into the Lord’s hands on Thursday, January 17, 2013, at the age of 71 in LaGrange, Georgia.
Marie was born on March 14, 1941, in Griffin, GA, to the late J.B. and Corine Gray Callaway.
She was a longtime resident of Newnan and worked for Kmart customer service for over 20 years. Most recently, she was a resident of Franklin, GA.
She was a member of Unity Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L.E. Hendrix; sons, Joel Tenney, Darrell Tenney; and a brother, Roger Callaway.
She is survived by daughters, Carol Denney, Leslie Morris; son, Kevin Tenney, all of Franklin; brother, James Callaway; sisters, Elizabeth Odom, Frances (Kenny) Mills, Linda (Jimmy) Marchman, all of Newnan.
She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20 at McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan and the funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Howard officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
