Mrs. Ella Claud Mayo Brown, age 75, was called home to be with Our Heavenly Father on Dec. 4, 2012.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James Earl Brown. Ella and James lived in Newnan, Ga., for the past 24 years.
She was born on Jan. 23, 1937, in La Bella, Fla., to the late William Wilson Mayo and the late Claude Elizabeth Griffis. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Carol Ware, and brother, Woody Mayo.
She is survived by her three children, Mike Brown (wife Sheryl and daughter Jamie) of Marrero La.; daughter Denise Maranto (husband Mark and daughters Lindsay and Lacey) of Mobile Al.; and daughter Tracye Jahn (husband Peter, daughter Amber, and son William) of Knoxville, Tn.
Ella retired from Belk Department Store. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, and playing golf.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at First United Methodist Church of Newnan, 33 Greenville St., Newnan, GA 30263 on Saturday Jan. 12 at noon.
