Mr. Alvin Colon Gilbert
Mr. Alvin Colon Gilbert, age 69, of Riverdale, died at LaFayette Nursing and Rehabilitation on December 30, 2012.
He was born in Turin on September 6, 1943 to the late James Wesley Gilbert and Mattie Lizzie Neill Gilbert. He was also predeceased by a brother, Thomas Gilbert; and his wife, Averill Thompson Gilbert in 2008. Alvin worked for Southern Mills.
Surviving are his sisters, Carolyn Smith (Ray) of Senoia, Patsy Gilbert of Sharpsburg, Brenda Clay of High Falls, Theresa Allen (Kenney) and Janeise Wilson all of Summerville.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel with Rev. Randy Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, 6-8 p.m.
