Mr. Roy Thompson Patterson Mr. Roy Thompson Patterson, age 65 of Newnan, died at his residence on December 15, 2012. He was born in Carroll County on January 16, 1947 to the late Prince and Lois Patterson. He was employed by Bibb Manufacturing Co. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Shirley and Billy Patterson, and sister, Florence Patterson. He loved dirt track racing, wrestling, working on cars, and camping. He will be remembered for his great love for his family and his dog, "Fat Girl." Surviving are his wife, Brenda Rigsby Patterson; sons, Tim Patterson (Janet), Michael Patterson (Mae), and Tracy Patterson (Katie); daughter, Michelle Hendrix (Richard); brothers, Larry Patterson (Gwen), Johnny Patterson, Terry Patterson (Susie); sisters, Bernice Cochran, Barbara Gentry (Gilbert), Faye Hite (Wendell), and Linda Clark (Henry); 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Welcome Road Baptist Church with Pastor Dan Odom and Rev. Alton Midget officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel on Monday, 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Patterson may be made to Welcome Road Baptist Church.
