Mrs. Norma Lee Dorsey Mote
Mrs. Norma Lee Dorsey Mote, of Christian City, formerly of DeKalb County, GA, passed away on Nov. 24, 2012, at the age of 94.
Norma was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, whose life revolved around her family. Family time was always important to her and she was always there for those that she loved. Norma and her family were long time members of Druid Hills Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harold Mote; daughter, Barbara Threadgill and her husband Mike of Newnan; grandchildren, James M. Threadgill Jr. and his wife Julie of Rabbit Hash, KY, Christine Pircsuk and her husband Trevor of Palmetto, Deborah L. Pearson and her husband Kyle of Rock Hill, SC; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles E. Dorsey and his wife Virginia, Herbert Harold Dorsey and his wife Louise; and sisters, Lura Mae Chambers and Marea Jane Stamey.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Westview Cemetery on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 2 p.m. Chaplain Carl Ryden will officiate. Those attending should assemble at the gate at 1:45 p.m. The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning from 11 a.m. until noon at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
