Mr. Walter Ross Cole Sr.
Mr. Walter Ross Cole Sr., 83, of Moreland, GA, passed away Nov. 13, 2012. Walter served in the Navy from 1946-1949. He was a Mason, Shriner, and was an avid sportsman with a love of the outdoors. He worked many years in auto repair. He founded Cole Transmission Service in Hapeville in 1958. Walter was a faithful member of East Newnan Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ruby Harper Cole; sister, Christine Sullivan; and is survived by his wife, Frances Cole, also of Moreland; daughters, Robin Cole Funk, of Moreland, Connie Cole Williams, of Dallas; son, Ross Cole, of Sharpsburg; sisters, Mary Thurman, of Stockbridge, Joyce Sorrells, of Stockbridge; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16 in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Latta and Rev. Frank Powers officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Memorial Park, in Fayetteville.
