Mrs. Barbara Rodgers Laster
Mrs. Barbara Rodgers Laster, of Palmetto, GA, was met at the gates of heaven by her husband, W. Rex Laster; her brothers, Jimmy Rodgers and Charles Rodgers; and her parents, Ethel and Charlie Rodgers, on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at 12:21 p.m.
Before her sudden illness and passing, she was enjoying retired life after working in the lunchroom at Palmetto High School and Walmart in Union City, GA.
She is survived by sons, Joey (Kathy) Laster, Mike (Marion) Laster’; and daughter, Jan (Dan) Roueche. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jim Knight, Charlie Laster, Lauren Roueche, Mike Roueche, Angie (Mike) Brannon, Tim Hammond, April Hammond; special niece, Faye (Roddie) Knight; sister-in-law, Beverly Rodgers.
A funeral service was held Monday, Nov. 5 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Dr. Jimmy Orr and Rev. Andy Hannah officiating. Interment was in Holly Hill Memorial Park.
