Mrs. Etta Willene Powell Barnes
Mrs. Etta Willene Powell Barnes, 101, of Newnan, GA, passed away Oct. 12, 2012. She was born July 26, 1911, in Lineville, AL, to the late Charles Wesley and Florence Sparks Powell. She was a homemaker, and was also a member of Mills Chapel Baptist Church.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy D. Barnes; son, William Kenneth “Buddie” Barnes; two grandsons, Kenneth Randall Barnes, Adam Lee Barnes.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Donna Barnes Wise and her husband, Tom, of Franklin, Cindy Barnes Sewell and her husband, Darrell, of Newnan, Kellie Barnes Worth and her husband, Martin, of Newnan, Barry Alton Barnes and his wife, Jessica, of Newnan; great-grandchildren, Matthew Lee Williams, Charlie Andrew Williams, William Joseph Hannah, Emily Ann Worth, Isabelle Marie Worth, Olivia Grace Worth; great-great-grandchild, Charlie Parker Williams; nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 at the graveside in Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating.
