Mrs. Doris (Ball) Bailes, age 78, of Newnan, GA, died at her residence on Oct. 7, 2012.
She was born in Clarksville, GA, on Sept. 4, 1934, to the late Robert Nelson Groves and Bertha Susie Jones Groves. Doris was employed by Arrow Shirt Company.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Ball; son, Wayne Ball; brother, Floyd Groves. Surviving are her husband, Lee Bailes; daughters, Shelby Toney of Newnan, and Lynn Ball of Alpharetta; stepson, Johnny Bailes of Fairburn; sisters, Oveline (Noah) Burnett of Newnan and Mary Louise (Jerry) Karnes of Blairsville; grandchildren, Brian, David, Brianna, Elizabeth, Randall, Sam, and Jack; great-grandson, Brandon.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel with Rev. Jerry Karnes officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home, Newnan.
