Mr. Ernest “Bud” Harvey West passed away on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Savannah Court Assisted Living. He was born in 1922 in Fulton County, GA, to the late James William & Ethel (Bell) West. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, David E. West.
He served in the Army during WWII and in Japan from 1944-1946. He retired in 1987 from the State Court of Fulton County.
He is survived by his wife, Jewel (Perry) West; daughter, Kathy Powell; granddaughter, Holly E Holmes (David) & Jodie P. Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Katie Jenkins, Hunter Holmes, Lindsey Holmes & Brad Jenkins.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Oct. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan.
Funeral service will be Saturday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. at the Sharpsburg Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Senoia City Cemetery.
