Mrs. Nellie Jo Thacker
Mrs. Nellie Jo Thacker, age 65, of Newnan, Ga., died at PIedmont Fayette Hospital on Oct. 1, 2012.
She was born in Coweta County on Feb. 15, 1947, to the late Wilbur Hayes and Nellie Ruth Crook Hayes.
She was superintendent of custodians for the Coweta County School System for over 30 years and attended the First Pentecostal Church of God. Mrs. Thacker loved gardening and her pride and joy were her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Bufford Thacker.
Surviving are her sons, David Thacker and Michael (Rebecca) Thacker; daughter, Sheila Wadsworth; brother, Larry (Jeannie) Hayes; sisters, Wonda (Vance) Gaddy and Darlene (Johnny) Bearden; grandchildren, Adam Wadsworth, Brandon Thacker, Ryan Thacker, and Trevor Wadsworth; great-grandchild, Payton Thacker.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4 at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel with Rev. Mike Sprayberry officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Wednesday, 6 - 8:30 p.m.
