Mr. Fred Rogers Smith
Mr. Fred Rogers Smith, age 83, of Sharpsburg, GA passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Janice Smith, and son, Tony Smith.
Mr. Smith and his wife, Ellen, owned and operated Smith’s Country Store at Thomas Crossroads from 1978 to 1996. Mr. Smith is survived by his daughter, Dr. Susan Schmitt; sons, Larry and Sandy Smith, Tim and Terri Smith, Pastor Scott and Gail Smith; and daughter-in-law, Roxann Smith.
He is also survived by three sisters, Evelyn Coleman, Bonnie Huffman, Ruby Tucker; and brothers, Doug Smith and Harrison Smith; special family member, Sara Bloodworth. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and one great-grandson.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 29 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan.
