Mrs. Lavonia Bryant Richards
Mrs. Lavonia Bryant Richards, age 86, of Newnan, GA, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012. She was born in Sargent, GA, on Jan. 14, 1926, to the late William Henry Bryant and Clevie Howard Bryant.
Mrs. Richards was preceded in death by husbands, O.D. McClendon, Ernest Stephens and Calvin D. Richards; brothers and sisters, Olin Bryant, Alton Bryant, Maggie McClendon, Devers Bryant, Ovie Johnson and Elbert Bryant and step-daughter; Jean Stephens Young.
She is survived by her children, Rhonda D. McClendon and husband Charles S. Stone, and Bryan K. McLendon; and step-children, Judy Stephens Harper and Bob Richards; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 1 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, the casket will lie in state at the church from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Dr. Joel Richardson will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with remarks by Frank Guest. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 25, from 6 until 8 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home.
