Mr. Luther Thomas “L.T.” Drake, 86, of Sharpsburg, Ga., died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at his home. He was born Aug. 4, 1926, in Newnan to the late Dan Drake & Ieula McClendon Drake.
L.T. owned and operated Drake Tire Co. for more than 30 years.
The funeral is Saturday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan, with Dan Melson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The visitation is Friday evening between 6-8 at McKoon Funeral Home. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 301 Kelly Dr., Suite 3, Peachtree City, GA 30269.
