Mr. Danny Richard Key
Mr. Danny Richard Key, age 68, of Newnan, Ga., ascended to heaven on Sept. 3, 2012. He was born June 30, 1944, and was the son of the late John Irvin and Pauline Phillips Key.
Danny was well-known as a butcher, having worked at Marion’s Thriftown and was employed at Hemrick’s at the time of his retirement.
Playing guitar was his pastime, but evangelism was his passion in life.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Danny is survived by his wife, Mildred Winkles Key; his children, Tina Jones and her husband Gary, Tim Key and his wife Alison. His grandchildren are Brandon Christopher Jones, Christian Alexander Key and Brodie Thomas Jones. Also surviving are his siblings, Connie Perdue, Cindy Kleckley, Greg Key and Chris Key.
Funeral arrangements are by McKoon Funeral Home at 38 Jackson Street, where the family visitation will be held on Thursday evening between 6 and 8 p.m. The funeral service will be on Friday, Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. in the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with Reverend L. B. Rooks and Reverend Harry Parkerson officiating.
Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
