• Martha Brock McDonald, 60, of Sharpsburg, GA, died Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. The memorial service will be Saturday, Aug. 4 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, GA.
• Sherri Jewell Martin Newell, 52, of Woodbury, GA, died Saturday July 28, 2012, at Hospice LaGrange in LaGrange, GA. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2 in the chapel of Smith-Steele-Meadows Funeral Home in Woodbury. Burial will be in Woodbury City Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 12:30 until 2 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
• Walter Ferrell Norton of Newnan, GA, died at his residence July 6, 2012, from complications of head injuries. Visitation with his family was held Thursday, July 12 beginning at 4 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan. There was a memorial service in the chapel Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
• Funeral service for Mary Robinson will be Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, 1 p.m. at Powell Chapel United Methodist Church, Newnan, GA. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery in Newnan. Visitation was Tuesday, July 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sellers-Smith Funeral Home Inc., Newnan, GA.
• Florence Stewart Smith, 90, died on Monday, July 30, 2012. Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA, at 5 p.m. Visitation will be Friday starting at 4 p.m. Graveside service and burial at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery in Lompoc, CA, will be on Tuesday or Wednesday, Aug. 7 or 8, 2012.
• Lazelle Williams Zorn Smith, 95, of Brinson, formerly of Donalsonville, GA, died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Miller County Nursing Home in Colquitt, GA. The family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1 at Ivey Funeral Home in Bainbridge. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Aug. 1 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery near Donalsonville.
