Mr. Leroy Harold “Peanut” Beckom, 66, of Sharpsburg passed away Friday, July 20, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Beckom was born in Newnan on October 21, 1945, to the late Grady and Ophelia Conner Beckom. He retired as a foreman with Coweta-Fayette EMC.
Mr. Beckom is survived by his daughters, Wanda M. Beckom and Rhonda S. Rose; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Henry Beckom; and sisters, Rosa Purgason and Mattie Purgason.
Funeral services will held Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, with Pastor Bryan Calhoun officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, July 23, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home and Crematory, 38 Jackson St. Newnan, GA 30263.
