Mrs. Mary Ruth Carson
Mrs. Mary Ruth Carson, of Merced, CA, and formerly of Newnan, passed away May 27, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Merced, California.
She was born in Cherokee County and lived in Acworth, Smyrna, and Newnan, Georgia, as well as in South Gate, Downey, and Merced, California.
She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Newnan.
She is the widow of Robert M. Carson, mother of Yvonne Lincoln, David George, William (Butch) Carson, and Robert A. Carson. Grandmother of Joe, Chris, Jennifer, Michael, Janice, Heather, and Amber.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012, in the Chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Dr. John Riley and Rev. Searcy Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan GA 30263, 770-253-4580.
