Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Murphy
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Murphy, of Sharpsburg, passed away May 4, 2012. Mary was born March 11, 1946, to the late A.G. and Eunice Roberts McGinnis.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Edith Jones, and is survived by her husband of 45 years, J.C. Murphy, also of Sharpsburg; sons, Michael Gregory Murphy (Susan), of Lawrenceville, Christopher James Murphy (Kristen), of Newnan, Jason Curtis Murphy (Andria), of Marietta; sisters, Claire Presley, Amelia Ryder, Agnes Brock (Reuben), Louise Joiner (Jack), Patricia Lee (Lamar); brother, Joseph McGinnis (Louise); grandchildren, John Murphy, Tyler Murphy, Beth Ann Murphy, Katie Beth Murphy, McKenna Kee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Sharpsburg Baptist Church with Dr. Wallace McAbee officiating.
Remains will be placed in state at 1 o’clock. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Those wishing may send an online condolence to www.mckoon.com .
