Mrs. Joyce Carlene Toupence
Mrs. Joyce Carlene Toupence passed away in Newnan, Georgia, on April 25, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Joyce was born on Nov. 4, 1928 to John and Minnie McInnis in Littleton, New Hampshire.
She loved the mountains, walking in the woods, and swimming in the lakes.
Despite leaving New Hampshire at an early age, her heart remained there and throughout her life she was an avid swimmer and lover of nature.
She worked as a receptionist at the Plymouth County Hospital in Hanson, Massachusetts, for a number of years until her retirement. She was a member of the Council on Aging in Pembroke, Massachusetts, as well as active in the Republican Party. She also volunteered at the Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Massachusetts.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kathryn Gail Delisle, and her granddaughter, Sarah Kathryn Sanborn.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Cheryl Sanborn and husband Bill of Sharpsburg, Georgia; Rik Delisle and wife Brenda of Westen, Florida; David Delisle and wife Jean, of East Quoque, New York; Jackie Zammitt and husband Steve of Marshfield, Massachusetts; and her sister, Gail Williams, of Northfield, Vermont.
She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Massachusetts.
