• Sonya Denise Arnold, of Newnan, GA, died April 23, 2012. Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, April 26, in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
• Connie Adell Chappell, 54, of Newnan, GA, died at Piedmont Newnan Hospital on April 22, 2012. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home, Newnan. Burial was in Estes Cemetery in Gay, GA. The family received friends at the funeral home Monday, 6-8 p.m.
• James Eugene Lipham, of LaGrange, GA, and a longtime worker in the Newnan, GA, area, died April 8, 2012, at home with loved ones. His remains have been donated for research through Phoenix, AZ-based Science Care. A memorial will be held at his home May 6, 2012, from 2-7 p.m. Everyone is invited.
• Clifford B. McKeever, 58, formerly of Newnan, GA, died Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Funeral arrangements will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home chapel. Interment in Sunset Cemetery.
• Dora East Vargas, 84, of Chouteau, Oklahoma, died April 19, 2012 in Claremore, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 5 p.m., Thursday, April 26, at the graveside in the Grantville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 until 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.
