Mr. Jerry Lee Gillispie, age 55, of Thomaston, Ga., passed away Nov. 2, 2009, at his residence. He was born Dec. 2, 1953, in West Virginia to the late James Franklin Gillispie and Irene Spangler Gillispie.
Jerry was a landscaper, a mechanic, and drove a Bobcat. He enjoyed working on cars and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Lynne Gillispie; daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and James Elliott of Thomaston; brother, Harold Gillispie of Newnan; sister and brother-in-law, Patty and Ronnie Brown of Newnan; grandchildren, Skylar Elliott and Trenton Elliott; numerous nieces nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. in the Pine Mountain Church of the Nazarene in Meansville with Rev. Fred Fowler officiating. Friends may visit the family Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the church. Moody Funeral Home, Zebulon, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
