Georgia Department of Transportation has scheduled a traffic shift today on the Highway 34 Bypass project.
The shift will be between State Route 70/Roscoe Road and State Route 14/U.S. 29/ Jackson Street.
The Georgia DOT has been notified by the contractor of the traffic shift from the current alignment to the two farthest outside lanes which will be the final alignment upon project completion.
This project consists of 4.120 miles of widening and reconstruction on the State Route 34 Bypass, beginning at U.S 27/State Route 16 and extending to State Route 34/Bullsboro Drive. It also includes construction of a total of two bridges and approaches over the CSX Railroad and installation of an Intersection Detection System.
