Water leak quickly stopped

I have a very positive story to share regarding Coweta Water and Sewer. I live in Sharpsburg and was stunned to see a couple of weeks ago a water bill that was three times the usual amount. I have blue poly pipes connecting the water supply from the street to my house, and know that my neighbors around me have had to replace theirs — so I feared the worst.

I called and set an appointment for a representative from Coweta Water to come and check it out. My husband was home and was told by the representative we had a serious leak that was causing thousands of gallons of water to escape under our yard, which was by now very soggy.

Naturally we were very alarmed, and my husband suggested we were going to face repairs we really couldn’t afford. I took a chance and called Coweta Water and Sewer, told them my issue and was connected to the voicemail of Michelle in the department called construction.

I left her a detailed message. This was about 10 a.m. After several stressful exchanges with my husband, he called me back at approximately 2:45 p.m. (home from work early) stating that there was a note on our door that Coweta Water and Sewer had repaired the leak, giving the times they were there and what was done.

I called back that afternoon and actually spoke with Michelle, a dear woman who explained she had called a manager to explain our problem and, due to this action, the manager dispatched a field repairman who took care of the problem.

There was no hassle, no stress — the job was taken care of in an incredibly-efficient manner, to save thousands of gallons of water, charged to me, and save my yard. I cannot thank them enough.
