Blame Obama, Democrats

While very popular and charismatic, President Clinton, for the last four years of his administration, had a Republican House and Senate that was mostly responsible for his success.

Now, President Obama, who inherited a bigger mess than he thought, is trying to blame President Bush for his lack of success. Bush had a Democratic House and Senate the last two years of his presidency, which overruled his every attempt to stop the downfall in jobs and the economy.

The factual figures when the Democrats took control of both Houses show the economy and all related was in the best shape it had been in quite a few years. On Jan. 3, 2007, the Dow Jones was at 12,621.77, GDP for previous quarter was 3.5 percent, and unemployment was at 4.6 percent. Bush had a record 52 straight months of job growth. Barney Frank took the reins of the House Financial Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee. Bush asked 17 times to stop Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as they were too much of a risk. Then Sen. Obama and the Democratic Congress fought all attempts to reform the losing Fannie and Freddie.

The Democrats controlled the budget in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011, which increased the debt to its current state. The last Republican budget inherited by the Democrats was the lowest in five years. The massive spending bills passed by Congress were signed in 2009 by guess who. The inherited deficit Obama gripes about was voted on by Sen. Obama and his fellow Democrats. Vote in a new Congress and president, if you want to regain some freedom from government.
