A letter to editor took issue with newspaper printing a front page story regarding support for TSPLOST. The writer’s issue was where he found the rebuttal story opposing TSPLOST, which happened to be on the back page and, according to him, a shorter article.
The newspaper was not in anyway shameful. The newspaper has printed many articles in support and against TSPLOST and has included various opinions in Sound Off comments on TSPLOST.
What the writer may have forgotten, the Newnan Times-Herald, himself and this writer have a right to express our opinion based on First Amendment of the Constitution, giving us freedom of speech and the newspaper freedom of the press. In addition, the editor has editorial control to operate without the absence of malice.
I do not agree with the editor on many issues, but be thankful he is willing to print opposing views like yours and anyone else willing to put their voice in writing.
