I express appreciation to the Coweta County Fire Department for its excellent response to an incident at the Wesley Woods Retirement Community.

On June 30, during the record-breaking heat, we had a malfunction of our sprinkler system in the attic. Not only did the fire personnel respond promptly and assist us in dealing with the immediate emergency, they went above and beyond the call of duty in assisting us with the cleanup.

In today’s world, where all we hear about is all the problems and things that went wrong, it’s nice to be able to point to an example of something that is really good. We’re fortunate to have such a great fire department here in Coweta County.
