Mr. Adam Burley Butler, age 31, of Sharpsburg, passed away Thursday June 7, 2012, at his home near Sharpsburg.
Adam was born on May 1, 1981. He was the son of Larry and Cyndi Butler of Senoia. Adam was an employee of Clorox Corp. in Forrest Park and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church near Sharpsburg.
Adam was a lifetime resident of Coweta County. He attended local schools and graduated with honors from East Coweta High School. He was president of the Technology Club at East Coweta, was a three-year letterman on the baseball team, and made Governor’s Honor Roll for technology. Adam attended Mercer University in Macon.
Adam’s loving family includes his wife, Katherine Bell Butler; daughter, Addison Grace Butler; and son, Tyler Hampton, all of Sharpsburg; his parents, Larry and Cyndi Butler of Senoia; his sister and brother in-law, Brooke and Zac Harrell of Senoia; his brothers, Brady Butler of Lithia Springs and Brad Butler of Sebastian, Fla.; grandparents, Brenda and Tony Turpin of Tucker, Everette and Bettye Butler of Marietta, and Ivie Bowman of Senoia; and in-laws, Mike Bell and Susan Bell of Sharpsburg.
Adam was preceded in death by his grandfather, Cecil Bowman of Senoia.
Adam also had many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews to whom he was very close. He also leaves behind many friends that he dearly loved. Adam is still, however, abiding with his very best and closest friend, Jesus. Adam Butler loved his Lord and is with Him even as you read this.
The family will receive friends at the Carl Mowell and Son funeral home in Peachtree City on Sunday, June 10 from 5 until 7 p.m.
A celebration of Adam’s life will be held on Monday, June 11 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of the Carl J. Mowell Funeral Home in Peachtree City with the Rev. Tom Price officiating. Internment services will follow at the Turin Memorial Garden in Turin. Adam’s friends and family members will serve as pallbearers.
