Mrs. Sharon Brown, age 69, of Newnan, GA, passed away at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, GA, on May 17, 2012. She had resided the last several months at The Oaks of Carrollton Nursing Home in Carrollton.

She was born on Dec. 12, 1943, to the late Thomas and Leeda Faulkner of Moreland, GA. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and loved the Lord. Mrs. Brown retired from the K-Mart store in Newnan with over 33 years of service, where she had worked in various departments throughout her career. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Brown; children, Calvin Peeks and Diane Brown; and her sister, Mary Adeline Olmstead. 

Survivors include her sister, Leeda Harris; grandchildren, Shawn Brown and Erica Webb; niece, Linda Pike; and step-daughter, Ellen Minnix all of Newnan.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 25 at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Luthersville with Rev. Brad Brimlow officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Rehoboth Baptist Church Building Fund, 155 North Main Street, Luthersville, GA 30251.
