Willie C. “Cliff” Lindsey

Mr. Willie C. “Cliff” Lindsey passed away on Monday, April 30, in Newnan, GA.

He was born in Macon, GA, on Sept. 6, 1953, and graduated from Pearl Stephens Elementary and Central High School.

He joined the ROTC program while earning his degree at Mercer University and later joined the Army. He retired from the Army as a Major and worked for Booz Allen Hamilton in Atlanta as a consultant.

Cliff was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing in Alaska and all over the world.

Recently, he enjoyed fishing and kayaking trips to the Keys with his children. He was also a voracious reader and computer enthusiast and loved tinkering on cars, guns and in the yard.

He is survived by his son, Rob Lindsey of North Carolina; his daughter, Margo Byrne of Georgia; their mother, Mimi Morris of Atlanta, GA; his parents, Willie and Bertie Lindsey of Macon, GA; his brother, Dan Lindsey of Lawrenceville, GA; and his brother, Shelby Lindsey of Blue Springs, MO.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, May 7 at Martha Bowman Church, 500 Bass Rd., Macon, GA.
