We must save our country

Having reached 49 percent plus of America’s people receiving government checks or food and rent subsidies, we are in deep trouble. Political correctness, politicians and so-called entitlements are destroying our country. How long before we stand up and demand constitutional government?

I can’t believe so many of our people are allowing these self-serving politicians with hardly any approval ratings to continue to be elected. Why do we continue to re-elect the same ones who have violated their oaths to uphold and defend the Constitution?

President Obama is a small part of the problem. Those with a mindset to vote for him a second time are the problem. He has proven over and again that he is not fit to hold any political office. The same can be said of most of Congress.

I have known for many years that we, as a free republic, were in trouble. If the general public does not wake up and elect new people to Congress and the presidency, God’s great gift to humanity, America, will cease to exist as my generation knows it. This will be a terrible legacy to leave for those who have been indoctrinated to accept a second-class life.

We should all strive to leave a better world than we inherited. The country can be saved, but it will take much more than we are now doing. I really detest the thought that we are failing. Allowing our freedoms to be destroyed by politicians is so very wrong.
