Newnan Police officers responded to a complaint of sexual battery that took place at the Goodwill-anchored Shenandoah Plaza on Bullsboro Drive May 20.
According to police incident reports, the victim was shopping at Goodwill around 5 p.m. when she noticed a man wearing black pants and a long-sleeved white shirt watching her. He had dark eyes and straight brown hair with a medium build and a small goatee. He followed her as she shopped but kept a good distance.
Around 5:45, the victim left the store and approached her vehicle in the parking lot. As she reached for her door handle, she was suddenly shoved against her car by the man she had seen in the store. He proceeded to reach up her skirt.
The victim reportedly pushed the male attacker away from her. She was taking off her shoe to use to defend herself when the attacker began to run away.
She entered her vehicle and watched the man get into a white truck which she believes could possibly have been a late model Ford.
The victim drove onto Bullsboro Drive heading west, and the offender was driving behind her. However, when she turned right onto Farmer Street, the offender continued west on Bullsboro.
The victim reported the incident to NPD and a police report was completed.
