Perfect fair weather is forecast through next week.
The forecast calls for sunny skies and warm temperatures every day of the Coweta County Fair, with crisp fall nights.
The fair opened Thursday night and runs through next Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Coweta County Fairgrounds on Pine Road south of Newnan.
Today's forecast from The Weather Channel is for a high of 85 and a low of 62.
Saturday is the official first day of fall, and though the day will still be summery, the night will be rather cool — the forecast low is 57.
The cooling trend will continue Sunday and Monday, with highs in the upper 70s and lows in the low to mid 50s. Things will warm up again on Tuesday but, throughout the week, there is a zero percent chance of rain. There is a 10 percent chance of rain next Saturday.
The fair opens for Friday night at 5 p.m. and runs through midnight. Hours are noon to midnight on Saturday and 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.

This year's showcase entertainment is the Great American Frontier Show and the Torres Family Circus. There will also be the EarthQuest birds of prey exhibit, and live bands each night from 7 to 10 p.m.
The frontier show includes a trained wolf show and trick horseback riding, as well as a mock saloon. The show has performances at 6:15 and 8:15 for Friday night.
On Saturday frontier show performances will be at 1:45, 4:15 and 6:45. And on Sunday the show will be at 3:45, 5:45 and 7:45.
The Torres Family Circus performances will be at 7 and 9 p.m. for Friday; 2:30, 5, and 7:30 Saturday; and 4:15, 6:15 and 8:15 on Sunday.
The EarthQuest birds of prey show is held at the "fruit stand" near the entrance to the midway. Performances will be at 5:30 and 7:30 Friday; 1, 3:30 and 6 on Saturday; and 3, 5, and 7 on Sunday.
Fair admission is $5, with kids under 6 admitted free. Proceeds benefit the effort of the Newnan Kiwanis Club, which donates thousands of dollars to local charitable organizations.
