Man struck by car at Greenville Street business

A middle-aged man was struck by a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon Saturday afternoon while looking to possibly buy the car.

From STAFF REPORTS news@newnan.com A middle-aged man was struck by a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon Saturday afternoon while looking to possibly buy the car. Witnesses say that a salesman at Newnan’s C&C Auto Sales, located at 190 Greenville St., started the vehicle with the parking brake on and the vehicle jumped forward, running over the unidentified customer.
The patient was conscious and alert at the scene, but was flown to Atlanta for treatment. The accident is under investigation by the Newnan Police Traffic Unit.
